Q

In BGP, where are routes store?

A

Routes are stored in routing information bases (RIB).

These are:
Adj-RIB-in
Ash-RIB-out
Loc-RIB

For a route to be advertised to a neighbor it must be present in the Adj-RIB-out. Routed advertised from a neighbor will be present in the Adj-RIB-in. Local routes are placed in fine Loc-RIB and next hop routes are placed in the forwarding information base (FIB).
