Why was the Berlin wall built?
A
Because the communists wanted to provent the pople of the east of berlin from moving to the west of berlin.

WHy did people want to move to the west of berlin?
A
Because life was free from strickt communist controle and capitalism offered more life opertunites.
The west had resived marshal aid and had a better econmiy which meant better quliaty of life.

Why did the communist not wish for people to travle to west?
A
Because the communist were scared of “brain drain” which was the loss of key workers with skills and labours.
