Q
Skinner
A
-Children learn through CDS in form of positive and negative reinforcement e.g. giving praise for a correct utterance, or showing annoyance at an incorrect utterance
-Children also learn through imitation of adults, so they need to see behaviour and language in different contexts and situations to acquire it

Skinner Criticism
A
-Research mostly performed on animals so can any of his theory be generalised to humans?
-In real life, children aren’t usually punished for incorrect utterances, parents more focused on if what they’re saying is understandable (Refutes negative reinforcement)
