Behavior Therapy Flashcards
Unconditioned response - reflexive, ex:?
Kiss
Conditioned response - learned, ex:?
Heart rate goes up
Stimulus, ex:?
Favorite song
Operant conditioning (操作性条件反射)
Ex: messy room:
1. Pos: kid gets lewt for cleaning room, cleans room.
2. Neg: kid doesn’t get solding(责骂) from mom, cleans room.
3. Aversive (厌恶的): kid gets scolding from mom, doesn’t clean room
Premack principle
Ex: do chores before can watch TV
Use person’s preferred behavior as pos reinforcement
Extinction (灭绝,废止)
Pos reinforcement withheld to reduce undesirable behavior
Contingency contracting
Desired behaviors, reinforces, neg consequences explicitly written on a contract
Time-out
Removal from environment with undesirable behaviors
Reciprocal inhibition (相互抑制)
Introduce a more adaptive behavior to reduce incompatible behavior
Overt sensitization (明显的敏感化)
Unpleasant consequences produced for undesirable behavior
Covert sensitization (隐性的敏感化)
Ex: treat fingernail biting
Visualize unpleasant mental image to avoid performing
Systematic desensitization (系统脱敏)
Pt practice relaxation through systematic hierarchy of anxiety producing events
Flooding
Flooded with continuous phobic stimulus until no longer increase anxiety
Don’t use in pt with heart disorders!
CBT influenced by: dysfunctional assumptions, automatic thoughts, schemas (core beliefs)
- Neg thoughts > pos thoughts
- Mostly neg, examples of common cognitive errors see next card
- Dev early in life from experience
Automatic thoughts (common cognitive errors)
- Arbitrary inference(任意推论): sent a gift to relatives but received no answer, you: they must think I have poor taste.
- Overgeneralization (absolute thinking): submit article but rejected, you: no on will ever like anything I wrote
- Dichotomous thinking (二元思维): submit article but returned and asked to rewrite a section, you: I’m a bad writer.
- Selective abstraction: good grade and scholarship but you only focus on the scholarship you didn’t get.
- Magnification: heard coworker is having a party but you are not invited, you: she doesn’t like me.
- Minimization: father feels lonely so called son and asked to come visit but son is busy and can’t at the moment, father then calls grandpa twice bust still feels unloved by son.
- Catastrophic thinking (灾难性思维): first day at job and submit a document, boss returns and red circled a minor typo and asked you to fix it, you: that’s it, I’ll surely be fired.
- Personalization: gave a 2hr presentation but customer says thanks but I’m not going to buy a car, you: I’m a lousy salesman.
