Anyone who:
Lives, works, worships, studies, or has family who is eligible to be a member
What are the 4 identifying documents/info. required to open an account?
- Legal name
- Date of birth
- Social security number
- Physical address
What documents does a minor need in order to open an account?
- Original or certified birth certificate
- Social security CARD
- Student ID (optional)
a learner’s permit may be used in place of birth certificate

When can a minor open an account?
-Minors can open a primary share account on their own at age 13.
-Any other account must be opened jointly with someone of legal age.
What are the 3 types of CU charters?
- Community charter- serves anyone who is eligible to be a member
- SEG charter- select employee group
- TIP charter- all members of a specific trade or profession are eligible
