What are the steps for general bearing cleaning?

  1. Disassembly
  2. Thorough cleaning
  3. Inspect: check for defects such as pitting or scaring on races and balls.
  4. Replace worn bearings
  5. Apply grease
  6. Reassemble
  7. Adjust bearings: no slack, bearings should spin freely and not wiggle or have play.
