BE&KE - To what extent is KE useful for dealing with the issues arising from BE? Flashcards
1
Q
INTRO:
- what is BE?
- who is Kant?
- what will this essay discuss?
- sub components of BE?
A
BE examines how many people and institutions should behave in the commercial world. It applies to all aspects of business conduct and is relevant to the conduct of individuals and entire organisations. A business cannot claim to be ethical if it ignores/acts as an accomplice in unethical practices such as forced labour/child labour/ignoring health and safety standards. Immanuel Kant is a deontological ethicist who was writing during the 18th cen (the Age of Enlightenment); this essay will discuss the effectiveness of Kantian application to sub-components of BE such as COR;WB;GEIGB;GLOB.
