A
  1. Assess the environment for hazards
  2. Assess the victim: check for response. If no response is given, check airway, breathing and circulation.
  3. Stabilizing the victim: stabilising the victims condition.
  4. Call for help.

First aid technique for cuts and abrasions

A

Clean the wound with water to clear away dirt and debris. If available apply antiseptic, then cover with a sterile bandage. If the bleeding does not stop, apply direct pressure with a clean cloth.

A
  • Assess the injured person for signs of fractures or spinal injuries
  • Avoid moving the person unless necessary.
  • if they are bleeding, control the bleeding while monitoring their condition. If they are unconscious, check ABC
