This caused the cavalry to retreat
However the retreating horses collided with French Infantry
The english Cavalry also fought on foot and pushed the French back

He fought alongside his men
Using Cavalry on foot formed a solid centre
Use of archers
However his march across france had led the men to be weak. He was cornered and has no choice but to fight
French chivalry
The french Knights fought with a code of honour . This code stated that they were only to fight other noblemen on horseback so when they were fired upon it took them by complete surprise.
After the battle those who survived were outraged by the English behaviour
