- An unwanted child
- An illegitimate child
- A child whose father’s paternity is doubted
- A cry which interferes with either a
parent’s sleep or TV show because such parents had received similar treatment from their parents in their own childhood - Parents have low IQ
- Parents have criminal history
- Longstanding financial and emotional problems

A
If injuries of different duration are present and child is
malnourished then he is battered and there is delay in seeking medical attention
