Noun
Definition: A word that names a person, place, thing, or idea.
Example Sentence: “The dog barked loudly.”
Explanation: In this sentence, “dog” is a noun because it’s the name of an animal. Nouns are like names for things we can talk about, like “dog,” “house,” or “happiness.”
Verb
Definition: A word that shows an action or a state of being.
Example Sentence: “She runs every morning.”
Explanation: Here, “runs” is the verb because it shows what the girl is doing. Verbs tell us what action is happening, like “jump,” “think,” or “feel.”
Adjective
Definition: Is an describing word that describes or tells us something.
Example Sentence: Susan is very Lazy.
Explanation: In this the word “ lazy “ is the adjective cause it is telling us about Susan who is lazy.
Adverb
Definition: A word that modifies ( describes ) a verb, an adjective, another adverb or even a whole sentence. It tells us how, where, when, how much and with what frequency.
Example Sentence: (1)Lilah travels monthly for her shows. (2) the birds are meek. (3) Coraline searched everywhere in the house for her parents.
Explanation: (1)the word monthly since it telling how often. (2) The word meek since it tells us how much and what frequency. (3) The word everywhere it tells us where.
