A description describing the object with the senses
Example: The rock feels really hard
Define quantitative
The description of something based on exact measurements
Example: The rock in 6 inches higher than the clouds
What does it mean to turn a number into scientific notation?
To take a number and make it so it reads reduced number times 10 to a certain power
How do you change 10000000 to scientific notation?
1*10^7
*=times
^=power
What is the measuring system used in America?
U.S. customary system
What is the measuring system used every where but the U.S.?
The Metric system
Why is the metric system superior to the U.S. system?
Everything is in multiples of ten
Why do American not use the metric system?
Because we are idiots who are too stuck up to believe that the metric system is better
