If no operations are performed, the screen will dim before the monitor, viewfinder and control panel turn off to reduce drain on the battery. Press the shutter button halfway to reactivate the display.

Timer length can be set using Custom Setting c3 > power off delay > standby timer

Use the trashcan button to delete a photo in playback mode.

Use the delete option in the playback menu to delete selected pictures, pictures taken on a certain day, or all pictures in a certain location on the memory card.
