What is the rule for working out intervals

A
  • look at the bottom note, take the key signatures of that note in that scale, the interval is above and if smaller, either minor [2nd, 3rd, 6th or 7th] or diminished octave [4th, 5th octave]
  • If a 4th, 5th or octave is a semitone larger, it’s augmented.
