Meds against bacteria

Increase side effects with alcohol + weed. Use cautiously with people with weak immune systems.
Antifungal
Medication used to treat fungi.

Use cautiously in people with heart , liver and kidney disease. Can cause complications with birth control medicine.
Analgesics
Medication that relieves pain without causing loss of consciousness. Ex. Tylenol
Antipyretic
Medication used to reduce fever. The 3 main types are Aspirin , Tylenol , Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) and Ibuprofen
DAE is an acronym for what types of medication
Decongestant - medication used to shrink swollen membranes in the nose making it easier to breathe
Antitussive - Medication used to treat coughs
Expectorant - Medication used to bring mucus out of the lungs , bronchi and trachea
Bronchodilator
Opens up the airway, used when having a heart attack
Antihistamines
Medication used to work against histamines in an allergic reaction
Laxative
Medication used to open up the bowels
Scabicide
Medication used to treat scabs
Pediculide
Medication used to treat lice
Bisphosphonate
Medication used to treat osteoporosis (having weak or brittle bones) by limiting the loss of bone density and strethgning bones.

Don’t eat 30 min after because it can irritate the esophagus
Anticonvulsant
Medication used to treat seizures

Are usually paired with fasting lab work (can’t eat or drink 8-12 hours of having drawn labs)
Antiarrhytmic
- Meds used to treat irregular heart beat rhythms
Anticoagulant
-Meds used to blood clots. Reduces the risk of a heart attack
