What defines Cardiac arrest ?
- Unresponsive due to lack of blood flow
- pulseless
- Apnea/ gasping/ agonal rhythm
Which pulseless rhythm are shockable?
Ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia
which pulseless rhythm are non shockable?
Asystole and pulselesss electrical activity
what are the initial steps in management of the patient ?
- check scene safety
- call out the patient
3.Call for help( AED) - check for breathing and carotid pulse not more than 10s
