Basic EKG Interpretation Part 3 Flashcards
What progressive EKG changes are expected in MI?
Hyperacute T waves ST elevation Q wave develops ST returns to normal, T wave inversion Loss of R waves Return of T wave to normal
When would we see persistent ST elevation?
Left ventricular aneurysm
We can have left dominant and right dominant hearts. What does this mean?
It refers to which artery is supplying the posterior heart
- -if RCA, then its right dominant
- -if Left circumflex, its left dominant
What leads correspond to the inferior heart?
II, III, avF
What leads correspond to the anteroseptal heart?
V1, V2
What leads correspond to the anterior heart?
V3-V5
What leads correspond to the lateral heart?
I, avL, V6
What artery supplies the inferior heart?/What artery is involved in inferior MI?
RCA or distal left circumflex
What artery supplies the anterior heart?/What artery is involved in anterior MI?
LAD
What artery supplies the lateral heart?/What artery is involved in lateral MI?
proximal left circumflex
