They might live far away from any services, it might take longer for a type of service to reach you in an emergency.

You might not have the money to fund certain treatments, it might cost a lot of money for transport to get to a service, you might not receive free healthcare so it will cost a lot of money, some people are at an advantage by being able to afford private healthcare
How do psychological barriers affect service users?
They might have a fear of being judged because there is a stigma around that particular health problem
How do physical barriers affect a service user?
They could have difficulty getting into the building where the service is provided (no wheelchair access) OR there could be no where to park near the service
How do personal needs barriers affect a service user?
There could be communication difficulties because of poor language skills, sensory, or a learning disability OR there could be concern that cultural needs are not understood
How can resource barriers affect a service user?
There could be limits on a service, such as support aids and equipment OR there could br staff shortages, leading to long waits for appointments and support

You could arrange hospital transport OR suggest telephone helplines or internet support groups

You could check for entitlements, such as free medicines and treatments OR you can direct the person to advice on benefits and employee rights
