1.In an organisation there are three basic activities.
They are : inducing a willingness to cooperate on the part of organizational participants,
Establishing and defining organizational purpose,
And effective communication.
2.How do we induce a willingness to cooperate ?
2.The system of incentives must be within the organization and consists of inducements offered by the organization and contributions required of the participants;
The result is deference (acceptance ) to organizational authority.
- How do we establish and defining organizational purpose?
3.We must provide for two elements: Barnard calls the first the “cooperative aspect;’ which is concerned with the interests of the organization as a whole; and second, the “subjective aspect;’ which involves individual motives.
Accordingly, the subjective aspect of purpose is related to the incentive system, while the cooperative aspect is related to organizational decision making

4.This essential element of organizational activity, is important . The establishment must convey the purpose of the organization and how authority is exercised .
