What is infant baptism?
It is when babies are baptised and promises are made for them on behalf of their parents.
Why is water sprinkled on the baby three times?
To signify the three parts of the Trinity.
What is a believer’s baptism?
This occurs when somebody is old enough to decide for themselves.
What happens when a believer is baptised?
Their body goes underwater and when they emerge, it represents that they have a new life with God. It is also a sign to the community that you are a Christian and follows the example of Jesus as he was baptised.
Why are youth groups important?
They help bring young people to church.
What does meeting together with Christians your age help to do?
It helps young people to strengthen their faith as they have a community to talk to and worship with.
What does Jesus’ phrase ‘let the little children come to me’ tell Christians?
It tells Christians that Jesus wants all children to be involved in church life and that youth groups bring children together in Christ.
