WHY ARE COMMERCIAL BANKS CALLED THE BACKBONE OF THE COUNTRY
THEY ACT AS INTERMEDIARIES BETWEEN THOSE WHO DEPOSIT MONEY AND THOSE WHO WANT LOANS, THEY TAKE DEPOSITS FROM HOUSEHOLD SECTOR AND GRANT LOANS TO THE PRODUCTION SECTOR
