- children need alot of protein to grow
How does activity levels affect dietary needs ?
The more active the person, the more the muscles are contracting n respiring —> need alot of energy!
How pregnancy affect dietary needs?
- ALOT of energy is needed to support the growth of the developing foetus.
- Mom gotta carry around a large mass in her belly
- Extra calcium and iron needed to build the bones, teeth, and blood of the foetus
How does breastfeeding affect dietary needs ?
Energy requirements increase and extra calcium is needed to make high quality breast milk
