Salmonella Typhi
illness: Typhoid Fever
- only lives in humans
- can carry in bloodstream and intestinal tract
- small amount can make a person very sick
- severity of symptoms depend on health and amount of bacteria
- stays in a person’s feces for weeks until symptoms disappear

- infects others even when not sick -
- may be asymtomatic
- cooking CANNOT destroy
