Shigellae (causes Shigellosis - a severe intestinal infection)
Salmonella (food poisoning)
Klebsiella spp. Eg. K. Pneumoniae
Serratia spp. (UTI, wound infections, pneumonia)
Proteus (UTIs)
Helicobacter Pylori (stomach ulcers)

A

Staphylococcus (skin infections)

  • S. aureus
  • S. epidermis

Streptococcus
- S. pneumoniae (pneumonia)
- S. pyogenes
> tonsillitis, pharyngitis (inflamation of pharynx)
> sinusitis, otitis
> arthritis, bone infections
> skin infections eg. cellulitis, impetigo
