  • Lateral decompress along sacral border 3x
  • Press Sacro-tuberal ligament (press in direction of navel)
  • Digital press / Dig sacral foramen / Ba Liao points (UB 31-34)

A
  • arrange thumb & fingers at about 90 degrees, with thumb and index against the spine
  • start at T2 or below, to avoid pushing the patient’s neck forward
  • use body weight to press down into thumb & fingers

A
  • place on hand on sacrum, and the other hand on the lower thoracic vertebrae (crossing at the wrists)
  • keep elbows slightly bent and lean shoulders above hands in order to press

  • press your thumbs or fingers at the tight or prominent muscles lateral to L5
  • hold the press & follow the patient’s breath to go deeper

  • place one hand’s fingers over the top of sacrum, cupping the sacrum
  • place the other hand on top of the first hand

  • just lateral to the coccyx, press in the direction of the navel
  • this is a sensitive area, so move with intention & do not linger
