Explain the relationship between hazard, risk and danger
HCL acid
Hazard is the subject
Risk is the probability of unintentional action
Danger is the subconscious action
RISK?
a combination of possible risk (probability) and consequences of a hazardous event occurs (x happen yet)
DANGER?
the inherent ability of something to cause harm.
example exposure to a hazard
the situation where harm is likely to happen
Incident?
the event which includes all undesirable situations or avoidance (near misses) that have the potential to cause accidents
Accident?
incident that causes harm
(small incidents+ingnore)=accident
Emergency?
the state for immediate action due to risk and danger
Disaster?
sudden calamitous event bringing great damage, loss and destruction .
Hazard?
a)Something that can cause harm.
b)It’s the source of potential danger.
c)Anything alone or interact with one another can lead to injury
