When would a second set bag be required?

If a wearer has damage to the air supply of their BA set
If the wearer is low on air
What are Methods 1, 2 and 3 in a second set procedure?
Method 1 - recipient able to assist
Method 2 - recipient able to assist using 1 meter rescue hose
Method 3 - recipients facemask or LDV is damaged - mask change
What is the process of the second set procedure, once the emergency team makes contact with the BA team?
Six answers
Let the ECO know you’ve located them
Identify which member requires assistance
Verify the LDV and facemask are working
Tell the recipient what you’re going to do
Check the facemask of the second set, remove facemask is not needed, then leave in a suitable position
Perform either Method 1, 2 or 3 air transfers
What are the test procedures before a second set is commited into a building?

Check it’s got more than 240 BAR
Check the facemask is attached and in the bag
Check the Bodyguard is left in
Check the tally is grouped with the emergency team on the ECB
