How do scientists make hybridoma cells and therefore monoclonal antibodies

A

Inject specific antigen into animal, e.g mic or rat
Rat’s own lymphocytes are produced and produce specific antibodies
Lymphocytes are extracted and combined with tumour cells to make myeloma cells
These hybridoma cells can divide rapidly and produce specific ( monoclonal )antibodies
The monoclonal antibodies target certain chemicals and cells in the body to kill a disease
