A disease caused by pathogens.
It can be spread between people.
Tuberculosis, AIDS

A
Non-pathogenic diseases
These cannot be spread between people.
Diabetes, cancer

B5 - Describe the different ways that white blood cells protect us from disease.
A
Engulf pathogens (they eat them, this is called phagocytosis).
Produce antibodies which destroy and kill pathogens.
Produce antitoxins which counteract the poisons released by pathogens
