What let’s you react to what goes on around you
What does the CNS consist of
The brain and spinal chord
What is the role of the receptor
When they detect a stimulus the information is then sent as nervous impulses along a sensory nuerone to the CNS
What does the CNS then do about the stimulus
Co-ordinates a response
What are hormones
Chemical messangers in the blood
What is adrenaline
A hormone released by adrenal glands it activates a process which increases the supply of oxygen and glucose to the cells
What is fsh
Causes an egg to mature in one of the ovaries stimulates the ovaries to produce oestrogen
What is oestrogen
Causes the lining of the uterus to thicken and grow stimulates the production of Lh
What is LH
Stimulates the release of an egg at day 14
What is progesterone
Maintains the lining of the uterus
What happens if the blood glucose level is to high
Insulin is added
What happens if the blood glucose level is to low
Glucagon is added

the blood quickly once the food has been digested.
What does type two diabetes result in
Cause blood sugar levels to rise to a dangerous level being over weight can increase your chances of of developing type two diabetes it can be controlled through exercise
What are the stages of the menstrual cycle
Stage 1 the uterus lining breaks down and is released
Stage 2 the lining of the uterus builds up again - day 4-14
Stage 3 an egg is developed and released- day 14
Stage 4 the lining is then maintained- until 28
