Q

Explain how water, glucose and mineral salts are transported through a plant

A

Water and dissolved minerals travel through a xylem tassel the glucose made in leaves by photosynthesis is converted to sucrose and transported to other parts of the plant by strands of living phloem tissue, they absorb the glucose, water and mineral salts against a concentration gradient is called active transport.m
