What is a producer?
A producer is often a plant, it does not consume any animals.
What is a consumer?
A consumer consumes produces or other animals below them in the food web.
What is a predator?
A predator hunts and eats other organisms.
What is prey?
Prey can be either a plant or animal that is eaten by something else.
Why must material in the living world be recycled?
Material in the living world is recycled to provide building blocks for future organisms to both exist and thrive.
What chemical elements are recycled when animals and plants decay?
The death and decay of animals and plants return carbon and mineral ions back to the soil.
Who uses carbon dioxide int eh atmosphere and what for?
Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is used by plants in photosynthesis.
Why is the water cycle so important?
The water cycle provides fresh water for plants and animals on land for training into the seas. Water is continuously evaporated, condensed, and precipitated.
