  • balanced diet contains all the correct nutrients in the correct amounts
  • balanced diet has the correct amount of energy
  • too much energy leads to mass/weight increase e.g. Too much fat
  • if activity increased use of energy increases
  • too little energy leads to mass decrease- can lead to anorexia
  • lack of vitamins leads to deficiency
  • too much carbohydrate/ sugar/ overweight can lead to type 2 diabetes and other diseases
