A
the water flowing in a stream that is fed only by groundwater; during dry periods is is only that bas flow that passes through the stream channel

A
the lowest point to which a river can flow; sea level is usually the base level for large rivers but a large river is often the base level for its tributary streams

particles that are transported by water along a riverbed

Bird’s foot delta
A
a delta where the river splits off into ‘fingers’ that jut out into the sea, like a bird’s foot. e.g the Mississippi Delta, USA.
