AWS Transfer Family Flashcards
What is the AWS Transfer Family
The AWS Transfer Family is a set of fully managed file transfer services provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that enable organizations to securely transfer files over the internet. The AWS Transfer Family includes two main services: AWS Transfer for SFTP and AWS Transfer for FTPS.
What is AWS Transfer for SFTP (Simple File Transfer Protocol):
AWS Transfer for SFTP is a fully managed SFTP service that allows organizations to securely transfer files to and from Amazon S3 buckets. SFTP is a widely used protocol for secure file transfer over SSH (Secure Shell) connections, making it suitable for transferring sensitive data and complying with security and compliance requirements.
What is AWS Transfer for FTPS (File Transfer Protocol Secure):
AWS Transfer for FTPS is a fully managed FTPS service that enables organizations to securely transfer files to and from Amazon S3 buckets using the FTPS protocol. FTPS is a secure extension of the FTP protocol that uses SSL/TLS encryption for data transfer, making it suitable for transferring sensitive data over the internet
