What is an Availability Zone?
An Availability Zone consists of one or more discrete data centers, each with redundant power, networking and connectivity, housed in separate facilities.
What is a Data Center?
A Data Center is a building filled with servers and other physical hardware.
What is a Region?
A Region is a geographical area consisting of at least two Availability Zones.
What is an Edge Location?
An Edge Location is an AWS endpoint used for caching content. Typically utilized by CloudFront, Amazon’s Content Delivery Network (CDN).
Which are there more of between Availability Zones, Edge Locations and Regions?
There are more Edge Locations.
Edge Locations > Availability Zones > Regions
