Autonomic NS Flashcards
What are the sympathetic Adrenergic receptor sub types of the blood vessels, what is the effect?
alpha 1, alpha 2 = constriction
beta-2 = dilation
What are the sympathetic Adrenergic receptor sub types of the heart, what is the effect?
beta 1 = tachycardia (rapid heart rate), increased contractility
alpha-1 = increased contractility
What are the sympathetic Adrenergic receptor sub types of the bronchi, what is the effect?
beta-2 = relaxation
What are the sympathetic Adrenergic receptor sub types of the thrombocytes, what is the effect?
alpha 2 = aggregation
What are the sympathetic Adrenergic receptor sub types of the kidneys, what is the effect?
alpha 1 and alpha 2 = vasoconstriction
beta 1 = renin release
beta 2 - vasodilation
What are the sympathetic Adrenergic receptor sub types of the adipocytes what is the effect?
alpha 2 = inhibition of lipolysis
beta 1, 2, 3 = lipolysis
CVS
Where do baroceptors and chemoreceptors input to?
-Hypothalamus
-Nucleus ambigus dorsal vagal nerve
(then affects cardiac ganglia and the heart)
beta-receptors = increase HR and contractility
