GANGLIONIC BLOCKERS
Effects of Beta-blockers (atenolol/metoprolol) and adverse effects.
-Decreased demand for myocardial oxygen (decreased angina).
-Decreased heart rate.
-Decreased force of contraction (lowers hypertension).
When Autonomic drugs are given, the goal is not to treat an autonomic disorder, it is to correct disorders of target organs through autonomic nerves
