- Switch FMC’s
- Select reverse thrust
THR ?
A/T provides necessary thrust to maintain a required v/s.
Thrust is variable depending on the magnitude of the alt change.
Produces a variable thrust up to the thrust reference limit.
THR REF
A/T provides thrust to the max thrust limit that is displayed on the primary EICAS.
Thrust levers move to “reference” N1
SPD
A/T controls thrust to maintain the IAS/MACH displayed on the IAS/MACH window ( subject to min/max spd limit ).
Inactive in VNAV, FLCH, TO/GA pitch modes.
SPD mode in VNAV = spd commanded by FMC
( mcp IAS/Mach window is blank)
V/S has no speed protection?
T or F
True
IDLE
Throttles move to flight idle stop position.
A/T mode “HOLD” engaged when aft stop has been reached
Manual thrust adjustments are still available with HOLD annunciate.
