The purification process of an Indian after going into a hot hut with a spiritual guide so they will get dehydrated and see their paths, this is a very sacred ceremony that requires a chaman
Why is their land so important to them?
Because they believe in reincarnation and that their ancestors are all around them, they believe that that is very sacred and like to keep their land. Also because of their myths and their rituals

Bad, the Europeans tried changing them with a type of boarding school. They didn’t except them and tried illuminating them with surgery to make them infertile

Happens every spring, involves dancing and singing.
What is a sweat lodge? (Etuve)
Purifies soul, direction of chaman, demands spirits for help, always during the night
What are the different types of myths?
- myth of creation
- trickster myths, suffering, misery etc.
- hero myths, talks about courage
- divine myths, their gods
- cultural myths, explains when their rituals and costumes became legit
What’s the diff between animisme en afrique and animisme en amerique?
Africa- they believe they can act on the unknown world with sorcery
