What is considered a third generation Australian?
First generation includes families who were born overseas and reside in Australia, Second generation is someone who was born in Australia but has one or more parents born overseas. Third generation has parents who were born in Australia.
What are the most populous states in relation to the current population trend?
According to the Australian Bureau of statistics advised that the most populus states in AU are New South Wales 8 million, Victoria 6.6 million and Queensland with 5 million (ABS, 2019) Page 7
Other states and territories have a substantially lower population count with western Australia reaching 2.6 million. Population trends indicate that most people in the country are moving into the cities and causing a decline in populated rural areas.
