What are the different types of brush fires and their properties?
1) Surface fires- burns grass,weeds,small trees,leaves on the ground. They are fast moving and the most common in NYC
2) Bog fires- start on the surface and burn downward. They burn slowly and for extended periods of time. Common in dried out swaps or marshlands
3) Crown fires- burn along the tops of trees, extending by direct flame contact and heat waved. They rarely occur in NYC
