- improvements in single attentional outcome measures, self-reported an improvement in attention and memory after treatment, and improved control of attention (Cicerone)
- Tasks in APT “make increasingly greater demands on complex attentional control and working memory and generally involve listening to audiotapes or working on paper and pencil tasks” (Mateer & Mapou, 1996, p.11).
–Examples of tasks suggested by Mateer & Mapou (1996) include listening for descending number sequences, shifting set on calculation tasks, Stroop-like activities, alphabetizing words in sentences, and detecting targets under noise situations
