1

Q

What is the sensory recruitment theory of visual working memory?

A

If you do not verbalize a cue, the encoding and retention will be in the visual areas. It proposes that the same cortical regions that contribute to online perceptual processing of a stimulus are recruited to maintain that information in WM

Q

What are theories of neglect?

A

Inhibition imbalance, the intact hemisphere is hyperactive.
The contralesional stimulus does not win from the ipsilesional stimulus. Disengagement of attention from the ipsilesional side is difficult.

Q

What does prism adaptation (not) do?

A

It alters motor behaviour by the dorsal stream, but not the ventral perception stream.

What does the premotor theory of attention entail?
