Insecure resistant - type C
Doesn’t explore, seeks greater proximity to caregiver. Separation and stranger anxiety. Seek contact when reunited but then rejects
International synchrony
Infant mirrors actions at same time as caregiver

Infant responds to actions of another
Internal working model
Mental representation of our relationship with primary care giver, becomes template for future relationships
Secure attachment - type B
Explores but seeks proximity. Moderate stranger and separation anxiety. Make and require contact when reunited
Role of father
Key finding is that fathers have more of a play and stimulation role instead of caregiving
