Financial Gain, To spite the company they are working for or to gain sensitive/important data.

Why is a phisher different from a scammer?
A
A phisher will not always want money, they may just want important data to steal, and they pretend to be someone or a company to gain this, while a scammer will trick the person into signing up to a scheme that is not trusted and could take your money away from you.
