Q

What was Daltons model?

A

All atoms of an element are identical. Different elements contain different types of atom he imagined them as tiny spheres

Q

What was Thomson’s model?

A

He discovered the electron when experimenting with cathode rays. He suggested the explain pudding model a positive sphere with negative electrons scattered through it

Q

What was Rutherford’s model?

A

He fired alpha particles at a thin gold sheet most went through some were slightly deflected and some came straight back the way they were fired. He realised there is a positive nucleus and suggested electrons orbited it

Q

What was Bohr model?

A

Bohr realises the orbiting electrons would be attracted to the positive nucleus’s and would rapidly spiral inwards. He suggested that electrons stayed in fixed energy levels or shells around the nucleus
