- Sections of sea wall in Devon collapsed and left the railway to Cornwall suspended in mid-air.
- Farmland flooded.

- Insurers have arranged temporary alternative accommodation for over 2,100 households.

- Since Dec 2013, flood defences have protected more than 1.3 million properties from flooding.
