Q

What are the three kinds of process identified for sources and sinks of these gases?

A

Natural emissions from the earth (volcanic, oceans, animal waste, biological activity etc.), chemical transformations within the atmosphere and sinks: wet or dry deposition on the surface.

Q

Whats the difference between dry deposition and wet deposition?

A

Dry deposition is the direct deposit of acidic molecules (sulphuric acid) on biological organism or water and soil.

Wet deposition is when a soluable acidic molecule (sulphuric acid) is dissolved into water; rain, snow etc.
