What is ATA 70 about?
A review and reminder of the processes used
What does the Engine ID plug give?
Selected thrust rating data to the electronic engine controls
When is it only allowed to go near an engine in operation?
Engine is at idle

The permanent magnet alternator supplies power to the EEC’s at what N2 speed?
> 8.5%
What kind of engine is the LEAP engine?
High bypass, dual rotor, axial flow turbofan engine.
What does the N2 shaft turn?
The AGB(Accessory Gearbox)
What does the balance procedure for the fan blades use?
Different weight balancing screws installed in the platform front shroud under the spinner.
What controls the engine idle speed?
EEC
Are there any mechanical adjustments for idle speed?
No
Where is the fuel pump located?
AFT side of the AGB.
What inputs does EEC channel A receive?
AC transfer bus power, PMA power, AC standby bus power
What happens if the pressure difference becomes too large?
A filter bypass light comes on, this light is on the P5 fuel control overhead panel
Where are the igniters located?
The left ignition igniter is on the left side of the combustor near the 6:00 o’clock position. The right one is on the right side of the combustor at the 5:00 o’clock position
How many ignition selector switches are there?
3
What does the HPTACC system control?
Cooling air flow to the external parts of the HPT case. This cooling air adjust the clearance between the HPT shrouds and rotor blades.
What does the LPTACC system control and do?
Cooling air flow to the external parts of the LPT case. Keeps the clearance between the LPT shrouds and rotor blades small
When do the VSV’s and IGV’s open?
When the N2 increases(more air more open less air less open)
Where is the autothrottle assembly?
Underneath the flight deck
Where is the N1 speed sensor installed?
A guide tube in a strut at the 5’00 o’clock position of the fan hub.
How many connectors does the N1 sensor have?
- One for the DPCs, one for EEC channel A and one is for EEC channel B
Where does engine exceedance data show up?
Engine exceedance data maintenance pages
How many actuators does each T/R half have?
- The top one has lock mechanism and LVDT, the middle one has only a locking mechanism and the bottom one is non-locking.
Where does vibration data go?
From the DPC to the Display Unit, Network File Server of the onboard network system and the Digital Flight Data Acquisition Unit.
The outboard actuator is up sized to allow the outboard thrust reverser to open to a locked position of what?
55 degrees
How many engine cowl latches are there?
